Diocese in Europe and Broken Rites

Recently, an article  was printed in the European Anglican No. 44 Winter 2009 which is produced by the Diocese in Europe and sent out free to the congregations of all the European Anglican churches. The article explains about the support Broken Rites can give to those spouses suffering marriage breakdown serving in the European Diocese.

At our AGM recently, members voted to include the geographical area covered by the Diocese in Europe in our remit. The Diocese in Europe is part of the Church of England and covers a huge area serving Anglican and English-speaking people throughout Europe, Morocco, Turkey and the whole of the former Soviet Union. There are about 270 congregations and about 140/150 licensed clergy and their families.

Our remit also extends to the wives and families of ministers in the Church of Scotland working in these areas and  the wives and families of Methodist and other "free church" ministers where there is a connection with these churches in the United Kingdom.

Like all the dioceses, a Regional Representative  and Bishop's Visitor have been appointed to liaise with potential enquiries as a listening ear and support. For further information, please use the "Contact Us" box.
