"The depth of emotional suffering of the newly separated or divorced is not generally realised. Loss of a spouse is one of the most devastating traumas we can ever experience."

DRW is a course of six weekly evening sessions, or a three-day weekend, that helps the individual come to terms with a relationship that has irretrievably broken down. This enables people to understand what they are going through and provides them with support from others in the same situation . It offers a secure environment for discussion and understanding of feelings and also provides a new circle of friends when the workshop is over.

Topics covered in the six two-hour sessions may include:-

bullet

Is this really happening to me?

bullet

Coping with your ex-spouse.

bullet

Assuming new responsibilities

bullet

Letting go and forgiveness

bullet

Thinking about new relationships

bullet

Family matters

DRW has a self-help groups run by volunteers who have attended the workshop. There are no "experts" but all those present will have personally experienced marriage break-up. There are no hidden agendas - like conversion to any faith or way of thinking. It is suitable for anyone of any age at any stage of separation or divorce.
