March
2008
In March, six of us met at Rufford Abbey County Park. We had
a pleasant long chat during our meal, followed by a leisurely walk around the
lake. Then we wandered around the craft shops and garden centre before strolling
back through the woods, to a welcome cup of tea at the Coach House.
November 2007
Nine of us met at the De Dhodes Arms. It was cold, wintery
weather and we enjoyed chatting over our meal. Afterwards, we went over to the
Ridgeway Craft centre in an old stable yard and wandered around the
clockmakers, candle makers, bric-a-brac, pottery, art studio, and of course
ended up in the "Tea-Shoppe"!!
Who are we?
The East Midlands Region covers the Church of England Diocese of Sheffield, Derby, Lincoln, Southwell, Leicester and Peterborough and includes non Church of England members who live in these areas. Altogether there are 19 members in our region, including one new member who joined us this year. At present there are no members in the Lincoln diocese. As the region is so big geographically we try to arrange "get togethers"
alternatively in the north and in the south of the region. Many members in the
region support one another individually and this is particularly important for
those members who do not wish or are unable to meet
collectively.
